So.... now I'm seriously questioning Yzerman's sanity. He trades Walman AND a 2nd to San Jose for future considerations, now San Jose is trading him to Edmonton for a ******* 1st round pick!!!

Like the agents said in the agent poll... there is no plan in detroit and its a very unstable franchise.

Ive lost a lot of faith in the captain.

Horrible asset management... a move that NEVER made sense.

Also, we're cooked.  Injuries are starting to mount and so are the losses. Looks like a mini-sell... there's always next year. FML

There's nobody he's gonna draft at 15 that's going help this team. Package some picks and upgrade this team!

I'm so angry right now, sorry...

I'm glad I'm working tomorrow and won't be watching the TDL show. The Walman situation has put me over the edge man... it was stupid when he traded him and now it's a disaster. This is something Ken Holland would do.

Ken would trade our 1st to get Walman back and have that pick be a multiple veznia trophy winner.

Worst part is... SY's excuse for moving Walman and Fabbri was because he needed the cap space.

Cap space for what? To sell again? To acquire the fumbling disaster that is Gustafsson? Regardless, we could have remained under the cap WITH walman still in the lineup.

Call me when the scam is fired. Besides a few good trades - that he ended up squandering in the end - this has been holland lvl bull s***.

San Jose gets a 1st round pick and a 25 year old center Walman.

So in the end they literally got Carl Berglund, a 1st and a 2nd for Future Considerations.

I never thought I'd say this, but Yzerman is an embarrassing joke. He has until the deadline today to make all this right.

I'm not. He'll probably do the same as last season, dump a player or two for junk draft picks or that superstar forward named Future Considerations, then have a press conference explaining how fans should be patient and how we build through the draft, x player has done better, etc...etc... I'm really over it. As are, I feel, a lot of fans. This Walman fubar really broke our backs as fans. Now, if he pulls off a couple great acquisitions today, I'm ok with admitting my overreaction to how he's done things the last couple of seasons.

But hanging on to Blashill too long, Lalonde too long, coupled with the asinine trades he's made since the DeBrincat trade. Questionable UFA signings, too much money given to bottom 6 players like Veleno and Rasmussen. Also, if he's so high on his draft picks, sell off the vets and bring them up. Let's see them. I'm over hanging on to picks and drafting players that take 3-5 years to make it. It's time to trade some 1sts to make the team better. Using Cozens and Byram as an example, there's no player he can draft in the teens that is better than either of those two. Plus they're still only 23. The asking price for one of them can't be more than a player, prospect and a 1st.

I'd love to see where this team would be if they still had Ghost, Walman and Perron.

I'm going to retract a portion of that last post.

It is nice to see that his 1st round picks from 2019, 20, 21, and 22 are all in the NHL contributing. Danielson and MBN along with ASP shouldn't be far behind. I just think it's time to make that step into a playoff team. Gamble, trade a 1st for someone like Byram or Zegras or Cozens. Trading one 1st in a weaker draft isn't going to hurt us with the prospects we already have.

Today is the day, hopefully Y does something exciting to spark this team.

I have been reading Rantanen rumors, is he really something we need right now?

Also he is a pending UFA who is expecting a huge payday in the offseason.

Yzerman 100% panicked, he was trying to shed cap to sign Stamkos. And Pizza boy didn't get to reach him in time to approve the deal. So we got screwed both ways.

A buddy of mine was in Europe and caught yesterday's Skelleftea game.  He said ASP was everywhere looked ready now..  but MBN wasn't noticeable at all.  Take that for what it's worth.

T-Minus 3 hours and 15 minutes.  Please, please Stevie get us some help.  For the sake of these players and the fan base mentality, let me be clear, it's a desperate need to make the playoffs this year.  Our goalie situation won't get us past the second round, but regardless of stock piling picks and setting us up better for the "future", not making the playoffs would be 10x more detrimental to this teams psyche.  This time is right now.

On another note: does anyone agree with me that Lyon has looked shaky, like he's got some major confidence problems as of late?  Forget the stats, I'm talking about optics and the "eye ball" test.

Ryan Reeves would be a low-key nice addition.  Cheap (like no-brainer cheap) and gives this team someone to "keep the flies off" (as Babcock would say).  We have zero in terms of any intimidation and our core players are small (for the most part) and get a lot of shots after whistles.

Are there even any rumblings?  It seemed like in the ole days there was always a hurricane of rumors.  I don’t even know where to look anymore.

I'm scanning everything I can find in both US and Canada.....nothing as far as the Wings are concerned.
