The Griffs are lacking in RH shots... could this mean the wings plan to assign MBN to the Griffins? With Kasper playing the way he has it I could see MBN taking his spot in GR. Findog also sent back to juniors. Unfortunate, but expected. I think you want to rotate the goalies hoping that Husso and Talbot claim their rightful positions, then then we can be comfortable waiving Lyon. It would suck sending Ed down, but he's the only one with waiver immunity. If Kasper doesn't make it he's the clear #1 callup and should see plenty of action. True, but, if you waive Holl and Motte, I dont see any reason to send Edvinsson down. Anyways, Yzerman needs to figure out what to do with goaltending and defence. Carrying both 3 goalies and 8 defenceman is too much. I think it’s the most likely outcome. But I genuinely believe Kasper and Mazur out performed Veleno and Motte up to this point. Kane’s looking a lot stronger on his skates this year so far. The issue is the lack of RHers at wing. I wouldn't want Danielson developing at RW, but maybe that's what we're doing? IDK The only RHed wingers on the Griffs are Mazur, Shine, and Seger... and Mazur prefers to play his off hand like Tarasenko and Kane, so in theory he should slot at LW. And there's a good chance Seger ends up in Toledo with the depth chart the way it is. So really the only natural RHed RWer on the team is Shine, and he's not even under contract with the Wings... Maybe the plan is to force Mazur to the right side? I have mixed feelings about that as well, but even if it is, there is still plenty of room for another RHed RW, like MBN, on that roster. If we are looking to clear room for kids, the tradeable pieces with actual value are probably Ras and Berggren IMO. Ras has more immediate value. Akakabuto 1,831 Report post Posted October 4 Uncle Gary projects the cap next season to be at 92.5m. That gives us about 18m in cap space. Abdelkader and Yamamoto buyout and retention off the books.
