He generates scoring chances like a machine. Johansson looking strong tonight as well.

What can we get for Veleno ? Kasper continues this play going to force a hard decision Or send him, mazur, danielson to GR and make them play A LOT of high pressure min vs 4th line time in the show Edited October 1 by AtlantaHotWings More

As good as he looks I almost like giving him another year in GR to be THE GUY. Like Edvinsson last year. I think it rounded out his game and he’s a much better player today because of it. If Marco can develop a little more finishing he’s going to be a star.

AtlantaHotWings 1,089 Report post Posted October 1 About time to flip to Lions recording. I think Kasper has a legit shot at being last one sent down or staying up.
kipwinger 8,670 Report post Posted October 1 Nate Danielson is not ready for the NHL. It’s a big jump from junior to the NHL and it’s clear he needs to get up to speed in the AHL first. He’s just a hair behind on every play that develops. 1 Rick D reacted to this

kipwinger 8,670 Report post Posted October 1 Mo Seider also looks really good in the offensive zone so far this preseason. He's hanging on to pucks and making plays and I like what I see. All the analytics dorks are going to lose their marbles when his offensive numbers (that they said he wasn't capable of) explode once he gets top powerplay minutes and isn't getting buried in the defensive zone. 1 Rick D reacted to this
LeftWinger 5,065 Report post Posted October 1 5-1 though. That's your D corps for the season right there. They need to upgrade somehow. Someway!
stephen-gregory-yzerman 129 Report post Posted October 1 You cant read to much into preseason games but if Kasper continues playing like he has in the first 2 games he has to make the team. Both games hes played with most of the top guys and both games hes been the best player on the ice. He can create plays out of nothing and seems dangerous every time he steps on the ice. Of course he needs to convert on more of these chances but thatll come.

Danielson looked okay, and had a few nice shots on goal, but overall he wasn't as noticeable as the other three (who played together).

kipwinger 8,670 Report post Posted October 1 Griffins playing Crosby, Malkin, and Letang tonight so they’re scrambling. Sodorblom looks like his skating has improved, Lombardi is noticeable at even strength against the real Penguins (good sign), and Johansson is a really solid defender too. kipwinger 8,670 Report post Posted October 2 The Red Wings broadcast team is doing a deep dive on Albert Johansson during intermission. He’s a profoundly ugly dude. Looks like a hockey player. 13 minutes ago, AtlantaHotWings said: Thought I heard Mickey say they will be making decision on where MBN will play at end of preseason MBN said whatever they want love that attitude I thought he was for sure going back to Sweden. But he may have changed his mind. He was going to be playing for Skelleftea, last year’s SHL champion. Unfortunately they suck an egg so far this season, losing to several low level teams (including a team from England lol) in the European Champions League.
