I made this comment last night about Trouba's generaly petulant attitude... and well, he's whined and cried his way into getting what he wants again lol

Newest report out is teams no longer want to trade for him, knowing that they can't accomodate his family (Which is also probably doublespeak for his poor attitude).

I'm sorry but I actually feel bad for the Rags for once. This kid is such a lil baby betch. And honestly it's insulting to all the players in the league.

Every year pretty much 100% of players that are traded go through the process without causing any stink. They uproot their families and upend their entire lives, sometimes leaving their families behind to live in another city for awhile, and we never hear a peep about it... almost like it's part of the job. You think Gretsky WANTED to go to LA? Nope, but he bought the ticket, he took the ride.

But not Jacob Trouba. His situation is different. Special. His wife has a big IMPORTANT job in New York City! He couldn't possibly be expected to behave like every other professional NHLer. He won the Mark Messier Leadership Award! Living in NYC with his wife is Jacob's favorite thing. Why would you cause literal trauma to jacob, by forcing him to make new arrangements that are not his favorite ones! Other pros? Yes, maybe unplanned trades are for them, but not jacob. He couldn't possibly.

I don't think he realizes, but he's already finished himself, unless he puts on some big boy real pants soon. Handcuffing your team like this? Have fun. Your owner, manager, and coach hate you now. Your teammates probably resent you now, and you're going to be the one blamed for everything that goes wrong. Have a blast suiting up for 3rd pair duties with an 8 million dollar contract, that your team had every right to trade, while MSG boos you for screwing their season.

If I was Drury I would waive his ass to the AHL and instruct the coach to scratch him until the contract ends. You'll get your money kid, but im not buying you out, ill take my cap relief and bury your career. Don't like it? Well I'd trade you somewhere, but oops! You cried so hard teams dont want you anymore! Better get your agent working the phones to convince a team to trade for you again. Otherwise, you're going to have to agree to a mutual contract termination, or just accept the remaining salary and realize your career is over... and if you ever try to make a comeback in your mid 30s, I suggest you ask for a full NMC next time, instead of interfering with my front office. SEE YA NEVER!

If you don't want to honor a NMC or a NTC, etc don't offer it in the contract.  Trouba is 100% within his rights (that NYR gave him) to block trades with his clause(s).

Here's the thing, it's now a M-NTC, there's only 15 teams he won't go to. That means there's 16 that they can dump him to without him having a say in it. Or they can just waive him and he might end up 3000 miles away in San Jose!

If Trouba and his agent are savvy enough they can manipulate the list so he’ll stay in NY.

Yes, but do you really want to stay with a team that clearly no longer wants you? And its a modified NTC. The Rangers literally could be a-holes and send him to the West Coast if they wanted to.  They were doing him a favor by negotiating with his hometown team. Trouba agreed to that clause just as much as the team did. But the Rangers seem to be the only ones willing to be accommodating.

Uhhhhhhh... where did I say NYR doesn't want to honor his NTC?

I've heard nothing about NYR not honoring it. He submitted a 15 team no trade list on july 1 and they can only trade him to the other 17.

If you had bothered to read... I said there's a report stating that the OTHER 17 NOT ON HIS NO TRADE LIST no longer have interest, because of his attitude over all this. He's made it apparent that wherever he goes he won't be happy about it and the sour attitude will continue.

He's the one refusing to act like a pro here in order to get his way. Guy is cancer.

That's what this moron really doesn't understand. He'll be a pariah in NYR if he gets what he wants.

I just hate the attitude that the rules don't apply to him. He really thinks his life is so special that everyone else in the world has to accomdate him. Grow up.

If you dont want to be traded negotiate a FULL NMC or ya know.... play better lol

Yeah. But he doesnt have the right to refuse to report to a team that is NOT on his no trade list. Which he threatened to do. Both sides signed the contract. Both sides should have to abide by it. Not just the team.

Honestly, I would put him on waivers. Bet he changes his tune real quick.

If not Trouba, maybe Fowler? Since Anaheim has to get above the floor, they can retain 50% and take some salary back. Problem is his M-NTC only includes 4 teams he'll accept a trade to. Doubt he'd waive to come here.

Every year fans think there teams players will get claimed on waivers and every year better players then AJo go unclaimed.

You're not disagreeing with fans partner, you're disagreeing with Yzerman.

I don't think he does. We're definitely wasting the year Kane gave us. He'll be TDL bound.

Nope Kane already said that he's not uprooting his family again, That's why he has the NMC. he's basically said that he's playing the entire season out. Regardless of playoffs or not

LOL Cam Fowler would waive 100% to come home to Detroit, he and his wife just bought a new home in West Bloomfield like a few years ago to raise their future family in. He'd waive 100% to come home to Detroit.
