Looks like Mysak will be going to a new city.  I hope Mysak is comfortable at the new home.  Mysak usually doesn't have many problems with moving.

...depending on who you acquire or promote, we could still make the playoffs and make some noise. A lot of the better D-Men are gone already, but there's upgrades out there still. I certainly hope Kane still wants to stay after this dismal week. After the last few games, I think it's important that we keep Berggren now. Unless he can get us a 25-27 year old D that we desperately need. No "rentals" unless they're extending.

These players would net us a lot of 4th rounds picks that we would then use to pick players with names like Renny Maffrock and Willander Svenlanderssen and none of them will play a single game in the NHL because Kris Draper hates us.

Hey. I heard that Renny kid can't skate and is 5'8", 155lbs. But his mom was an ironworker from Flint and he had the character to battle through some really bad acne in highschool. Projects as a 7th line shutdown custodian.

How would you feel about trading for Ryan Johansen if Philly retained 50% of his salary? He currently makes 4 million for one more year so he'd cost 2 million and can play center or wing (though I'd prefer him on the wing with Compher and Raymond). Could fill in for Larkin until Dylan gets back as well.

Don't want. There's been some comments Avs players (cant remember who) have made to the media like "some guys in the room think theyre working hard, and theyre not even close". The Avs fanbase believes, rightly or wrongly, that those comments were all directed at Johansen. And I think thats why Philly isnt even bothering and sinking him straight into the AHL.

Ahhh, gotcha. I assumed he got waived by Philly because of his well documented feud with Torts from their Columbus days.

Makes sense why torts hates him if hes a sandbagger.

If you cant get motivated on the current iteration of the Avs team, I certainly dont want him on this Wings team, sandbagging like Nick Leddy did.

Brendan Lemieux waived by Carolina…Is he a  locker room cancer? Seems like he’s been on a handful of teams for such a short career thus far. That said from what little I know of him he’s got some snarl and bite (literally).

So either SY trades away all of Kane, Perron, and Ghost for assets. Or he trades for both a significant Dman and Center. I think its either gonna be a fire sale or upgrades. I doubt he stands pat.

So you mean Dubas didn't get the top prospects he was demanding? Shocker. 

I don't know if Dubas sucks or if the media just over-hyped the crap out of Guentzel as a trade candidate and what he'd fetch as a return in any deal.

Dubas sucks. He galaxy brained this like he always does. If he'd just taken a first and a middling prospect (the standard return for every quality rental) then he'd have been fine. But he didn't want picks as much as prospects (he said so) because prospects are a surer bet. But because of that, nobody is going to give good ones for a rental. So he talked himself out of a good pick, but also out of a good prospect.
