It's a stupid stipulation though having a certain prospect there. No other team that Debrincat will sign long term with can give them a higher pick than 17. Just do the deal. If we trade the 17, then what do we acquire Konecny and Krug with? Boston's 1st? Zadina, 17, 43 for Debrincat. Johansson, Boston 1st for Krug, Konecny. With the idea of Zadina going the other way (which is fine) I'm still pissed at Holland that he left both Hughes and Bouchard looking right at us and drafted Zadina.
