I'm a huge Sodabomb fan, I think he was thrust into the league too early, but I also understand why. He's unpolished and sloppy like any rookie, but he's so fuqqing big and confident that how do you not try him out?

Not sure the league has seen this combination of size and skill in some time.

He should start the year in GR - develop some consistent scoring - then he should be given a bottom 6 roll either later this year or next.

I'm not sure if you're intending for this to sound negative, or if I'm just reading into it too much. But I have no problem with how he was managed. He earned a spot in camp, came in an acquitted himself well for his first 10-15 games, and then started looking overwhelmed. So SY sent him down. I think that's pretty solid asset management TBH.

It's an instance where I would not have given Soder the spot out of camp. Not because I think making the team at 21 hurt him, but because I think its better for him to play 16+ minutes a night in all situations with Luff, Hirose, and Czarnik, than 10 min a night on the 4th line with Suter, Veleno, Erne, and Zadina.

And trust me, I'm saying this with a lot of hindsight is 20/20. I was excited to see him make the team last year, and I was hoping he would get some lucky goals, gain some confidence, and get a real rhythm going so he could stay with the team in greater capacity. But that didn't happen.

He definitely had lots of flashes of brilliance though, and I believe Soder will be an impact player on the Wings one day. Most likely top6.

Aside from these highlights, I thought his regular play looked very sloppy and unpolished with the Wings. Enough so that I think being up for 21 games was odd. He should have played 5 out the gate and then sent down. And then after joining the Griffs in December he never really got a solid rhythm going down there.

I'm on team keep all of the prospects in GR this year unless they are so far and away good they get top4/top6 spots. Then ease them into the lineup as injuries occur and as players are traded away. I want them so overly ripe they rot.

I don't disagree with the bolded. Seems like the plan is to make a playoff push with the veterans, and then swap the crappy vets with more talented younger players over the next few seasons. I'm not mad at that philosophy. I'd rather those guys develop on a winner than come up early and lose game after game. I don't really think it hurts them either. If Edvinsson can't beat out Maatta for a spot then he shouldn't be in the NHL. Same for Mazur, Sodorblom, Kasper, Wallinder, etc. For a few of those guys I think it will happen sooner than we imagine anyway. I think all the guys I just mentioned will all be full time regulars by the start of next seasons (2024-25) if not sooner.

Corey Wrongman demoted Detroits prospect pool from #2 last summer, to #8 this summer... despite us adding Danielson and ASP.

When is everyone gonna realize this guy is a total farce?

Mostly cuz he downgraded Seider and Raymond after their sophomore poop seasons

Lot’s of shrimp-dicked ‘hockey experts’ are turning on the Yzerplan this summer for whatever reasons.

One year removed from the Dekeyser era and no playoffs? THE YZERPLAN HAS FAILED

Pronman's U23 rankings

NHL allstar
12) Seider

Top of the lineup
26) Raymond
32) Danielson
40) Edvinsson

Bubble top/middle of the lineup
65) Kasper

Middle of the lineup
93) Sandin Pellikka
106) Wallinder
149) Soderblom
155) Mazur
167) Cossa

Thoughts?

I expect at least a few of these players to raise their stock this season, especially Mazur.

Im most excited about Danielson.  I think he will be fantastic with Ammo.  People are still sleeping on Ammo.  No idea why.

Huh. Somebody else said this about Kasper months ago and got put on blast.

Only 4 games into the Russian season, but Buchnelikov is leading the VHL league in points. 1 goal and 6 assists in 4 games. He's tied with Denis Davydov for this lead, who happens to be a 32 year old VHL veteran.

From what I've read, he absolutely looks KHL ready, and we are probably going to see him join the Russian big club (SKA) sooner rather than later.

Interestingly enough, the heralded Mateiv Michkov plays for SKA... but has now been loaned to Sochi because he absolutely sucks and doesn't play D. Buch may very well be taking the spot of a player regarded as one of the best in the world very soon.

Yep, announcers said Tuomisto during the play call but replay shows Wallinder. Good catch.

Announcers r dumb lol

Soderblom is so much better than everyone else it’s hilarious. Danielson looks good too.

I’m worried about Kasper’s offensive upside.

I’ll be curious to see how he looks in GR this year. He scored at a comparable rate to Raymond in his last SHL year. He has the puck a lot, but he does looks rusty though.
