I doubt that actually. The rags are desperate for every bit of cap space they can muster. A 3 mil Dman is not something they want coming back right now. Even after Trouba is gone probably. 

There would have to be assets going back, presumably a dman. Maatta is the cheapest and only has 1 year left.

BREAKING NEWS: The NHL makes history as Kelly Trouba becomes the first ever hockey wife to have a career/family. 

"This is new territory for the Rangers and everyone in the league." Chris Drury told TSN. "Our in house counsel and the players union are reviewing the CBA on the matter as we speak"

This could complicate trading Trouba for the Rangers. Traditionally NHL players only wed drunk in bed all day sleepy wine wives. These women were normally so drunk and full of xanax they wouldnt even realize they were in a new home in a new city. 

Will the Rangers destroy this historic family and shatter a boss ***** queens career just to save a petty 7 million dollars?

Why is BigRigs so pissy about Trouba?  Fk that guy.  He's a turd. Been a turd for a while now.  Best to let him be NY's problem for another 2 years.  We don't need to add an 8 million dollar albatross to our roster.

This is fun to watch though, because this is an absolute nightmare for the Rags. If they can't move him they are going to have to move several other guys they don't want to. I don't think even SJ will pick up his contract on waivers right now.

Yzerman didn't fix the net (again) he just tossed another 37 year old backup goalie onto the heap. 

Only way this team performs is if we see major progression from a mix of Veleno, Ras, Ed, Ajo, and Berggren. But especially Ajo and Ed. Or Yzerman grabs a quality Dman this summer.

You are so misguided on Simon Edvinsson, it's sad.  Did you not watch the AHL playoffs where we won all our games with him in the line up and lost all the games without him?  It's like Killer whale in a backyard swimming pool obvious how good Simon Edvinsson is.  Replacing Walman with Edvinsson on the top pair is going to help Seider tremendously.  The problem is going to be replacing Edvinsson on the 2nd pairing.  Until ASP-Johansson is up an running, this 2nd pairing is going to struggle.  Maatta-Holl will prove to be an awesome third pairing, but if Chiarot and Petry make up the 2nd pairing, they're going to get torched.  It was blue whale in a backyard swimming pool obvious last year who was on the ice when the opponent was at their best.  Next year, these 2 are just going to be older and slower.  If the SCAM is going to stick to Chiarot and Petry in the lineup, this team isn't going anywhere.  They're rally killers.

Yeah no team is guaranteeing him a roster spot on any team. Even playing in college. most players need at least one year in the minors.

Where would McGroarty rank among our prospects? He was picked 6 spots after Kasper is he ahead of Kasper? Is he ahead of Danielson? Mazur? Id like Yzerman to step up and get him but whats his floor/ceiling? top 6 winger? top line winger?
