If we need offense at the deadline I'd target Tommy Novak. He's 26, going to be a UFA, and really good offensively. He'd be a nice piece that we could sign for a few years. I'm all set on Stamkos.

I first read this as "Nosek". And I was confused.

Block is hot today

Broberg has been given permission to seek a trade by the oilers. Barrie has been given permission to seek a trade by Nashville. Leafs are apparently going all in to land Chris Tanev after missing out on Zadorov. And now Yotes are rumored to be in on Hanafin. All per Freidman and Seravalli.

Hanafin would be a nice pick up for us, but I guess wed have to move a Dman for it to make sense.

Tyler Wright didn't pick Broberg. Broberg was taken the same year as Seider (Yzerman's first). You will all remember that Yzerman got the job about a month before the draft and kept all of Holland's people in place until after the draft. You can find pictures of Wright on stage with Yzerman and Seider. You can also find articles about how Wright "pounded the table" for Antti Tuomisto that same draft.

In short, you're all as dumb and wrong as you typically are.

No argument from me there. I had to look him up just now to see where he's playing and how he's doing. Spoiler Alert: He's in the ECHL with Toledo and he's injured. Two points in two games though.

100% Yzerman was the reason Seider was drafted by the Wings.

Tyler and his staff just looked at a central scouting sheet and ran their fingers down it until they saw 6’3” and there were other  players with size ranked ahead of Seider. Cozens, Broberg, and Boldy for example.

Rumors swirling around Berggren right now. I've seen some speculation about Hanifin but that one doesn't make much sense to me when we've got Edvinsson ready to go. If Larkin is going to be out long term we need to chase Elias Lindholm. If Larkin will be back relatively quickly I'm thinking a move for a goalie makes the most sense.

These Bergrren rumors have ONE source and it's David Pagnotta from the Fourth Period and he's about as reliable as my Aunt's goldfish.

Believe me, I'm skeptical too. I'm commenting on it here because A) there's a rumor, B) the Wings are down two top forwards and have goaltending issues so there's a need, and C) Berggren was didn't play for GR yesterday. In total it seems like there COULD be something brewing, but I'm entirely speculating.

For sure. Speculating on trades is cool but Bergrren + ZAR + Czarnik were all healthy scratched yesterday because it was the Griffins 3rd in 4 nights and all three are joining the Wings tonight in Dallas.

Doubt we recall BEAR-grin then trade him. Based on who we are missing going to be rough couple of games coming up. Stupid question once on IR is there a certain number of games they are required to sit
?

UPDATE: We have recalled Zach Aston-Reese, Jonatan Berggren & Austin Czarnik from

under emergency conditions. Additionally, we have placed J.T. Compher on IR retroactive to 12/5, Klim Kostin on IR retroactive to 12/7 & Dylan Larkin on IR retroactive to 12/9.
