So I like the Petruzelli pick, however, Im as upset as LeftWinger... I hate to see his mom's stock fall so much, maybe we get her in the 5th or if need be trade up. Otherwise, LeftWinger is gonna throw a sh*t fit. I mean honestly, have you all seen the scouting report?

Ok now you're treading toward disturbing.

Lol wait a minute so two different PP coaches, yet Blashill (who doesn't run the PP) is at fault. Rock solid logic.
Statistically speaking Rasmussen is a PP specialist, and we're terrible on the PP. Holland picked a need. It's as simple as that, but if you're too bitter about "omg omg omg we passed on Vilardi" (who btw got passed by 5 other teams) to realize the logic behind the pick then that's your ignorance.

Blashill is the one who put Sheahan and Dekeyser on the PP

Just some scouting reports:

Zablocki:

Inconsistent centre who seems willing to let teammates do the heavy lifting, while he waits for a gift wrapped chance. Displays a quick shot and good jump in his skating, and scored 28 goals, but you are not sure from game to game if he is gonna work all 200 feet, or wait for teammates to make him.

Gallant:

Under-the-radar centre/forward who is a puck generator, scorer, and plays both on the power play and the penalty-kill. Solid forechecker and two way player who will drop the gloves if necessary too.

Petruzzelli:

Impressive big goaltender who has finally slowed down and learned to let his enormous size and gifts to do the work instead of getting in “fire drill mode.” Terrific combination of size and athletic ability that has NHL teams returning to make their final ranking decisions on him. Displays a strong glove hand and excellent awareness in his area. So big that when in his full spread, he covers the entire bottom while on his knees and still covers most of the top corners! Committed to Quinnipiac University.

Scouting Report:

Drives hard, also a known agitator, but never absent from the play – enjoys throwing the body around and is very physical. A good set of hands loves to demonstrate strong stick-handling skills and has a heavy right-hander. Which is impressive for 6’7” at 350 lbs. Premier locker room talent.

Weaknesses: Needs to work on follow through without the puck. Off-ice behavior and poor decision-making are often questionable due to lack of maturity.

Projection: Grinder

Reading that is really making me sour on Zablocki.

That's way off. Obviously you didn't have a mother who cared about you or Brest fed you until 12. You have mom issues buddy, take that with you to Amsterdam, I hear they'll take care of those urges. Joke is over. Trust me.

According to their opinion he is. And they run the team. That's my entire point.

They also think Glendening is worth almost $2 mil a year, Abdelkader can drive offense instead of just picking up other people's garbage, and Helm is a scoring line winger.

You're missing the point.  They're all tremendous competitors though.  Like, none of them enjoy losing.  And you can't teach that.

Petruzelli sounds like the most promising goalie we've drafted in a long time. Maybe I'm wrong but our goalie picks are usually later bloomers right? Was it McCollum in 2008 that was the last wings draft pick that was high ranked?

They must be really unhappy in Detroit then

So is Gallant related to Gerald? Because of he makes it to the NHL and Ken Daniels is still around we're going to hear about him either being related, or hear " no relation to our buddy Spuddy" 300 times a season

The fact that he's the head coach and was the one who explained why 0 goal Sheahan was put on the PP to defend against shorties

So he explained something and that makes you think he chose? Wide speculation.

Missing the point again, these guys' real strength is their ability to think positively.  As a matter of fact, that outweighs any shortcomings they may have in their games.  It doesn't matter if you're bad at hockey so long as you're WILLING to improve.  And boy are they ever.  These guys are the solution my man.  Not the problem.
