amato 3,210 Report post Posted March 5, 2015 On the lighter side of things.. Mike Green found an old discontinued stealth like he used to use and loves it. He is now on a quest to find as many as possible so he doesn't have to switch back to new sticks again that are "heavier and less flexible." I thought this article was funny, so I figured I'd share. Enjoy http://www.russianmachineneverbreaks.com/2015/03/04/mike-green-is-playing-with-an-easton-stealth-stick-that-was-discontinued-almost-a-decade-ago/
Nevermind 363 Report post Posted March 5, 2015 The Wings should buy up as many of those sticks as possible. That way he'd have no choice but to sign with us in the off-season. 3 PavelValerievichDatsyuk, amato and krsmith17 reacted to this
amato 3,210 Report post Posted March 5, 2015 We could get as many fans as possible to go out and find them.. showing him how great the fans are here. Maybe he'll take a discount if we get a few seasons worth of old stealths
Nightfall 871 Report post Posted March 5, 2015 I seem to remember that Brett Hull and Brendan Shanahan did the same thing when they found sticks they really liked.
PavelValerievichDatsyuk 1,935 Report post Posted March 5, 2015 It seems to me that a player as big as Green should be able to just approach the company and get them to make more. They could use it as advertising and maybe rename it the Green Machine or something.
Smite 399 Report post Posted March 5, 2015 Reminds me of the Canadien Cam Neely hockey sticks. It was my favorite, hardly any flex I could let rockets go with that stick. I started using them not long after he retired eventually his stick could not be found. On the other hand I remember shelling out 35 bucks (was a lot for a wooden stick at the time) for a limited edition Steve Yzerman Louisville. They were individually wrapped, send down from the heavens and when I first gripped it I thought this is the stick that is going to smash any minor league goal records known to man. I took extra time tapping it, really my first true love. The second shot in pre-game warm up it shattered..... Along with my heart. 3 amato, chaps80 and canadian wings fan reacted to this
Rivalred 630 Report post Posted March 5, 2015 They need to bring back aluminum shaft stick..... New ones suck... Way to much flex; rather have a heavier stick 1 Smite reacted to this

Way to much flex; rather have a heavier stickI bought the original z bubble, the green one.And my first game with it I broke a blade, and while my dad went and bought another one I went back to my wooden christian. Then I got it back for the third and it broke my second shift about 8 inches up from the blade. I got my money back, but didn't buy another composite until the synergy came out. kook_10 1,705 Report post Posted March 5, 2015 Injury forced me into beer league retirement about ten years ago, but I would still buy a Montreal 88 HMP if I could find it, just in case I ever laced em up again. 1 jimmyemeryhunter reacted to this

The white one with red lettering, Yzerman stamped on it with a tapered handle at the end. I forget what ever happened to it. I think I may have used it for road hockey in the summer and destroyed it on the pavement. 1 Smite reacted to this
PavelValerievichDatsyuk 1,935 Report post Posted March 6, 2015 (edited) Paul Coffey wooden Sher-Woods all the way! Still have a bunch. Don't think they make them any more. The perfect wrister flies off almost automatically with that curve. Edited March 6, 2015 by PavelValerievichDatsyuk 1 Izzy24 reacted to this
