HockeytownRules19 902 Report post Posted October 7, 2014 Greg Brady @bradyfan590 Told Red Wings are "very active" in taking calls to try & trade Jakub Kindl. Nothing imminent by any stretch, but they are shopping him. Greg Brady @bradyfan590 · 24m 24 minutes ago Took a massive step backwards last season & contract is considered friendly to many looking for a 5-6D ($2.4M for next 3 yrs). Greg Brady @bradyfan590 · 23m 23 minutes ago DRW wants to make room for Xavier Ouellet who'll start in Grand Rapids. He won't be there very long. Outplayed Kindl dramatically. Elliotte Friedman @FriedgeHNIC · 21m 21 minutes ago However, it would not be a surprise if DET was trying to move a body (possibly Kindl) to make room. 4 Nev, Wingsfan72, PavelValerievichDatsyuk and 1 other reacted to this

Euro_Twins 4,485 Report post Posted October 7, 2014 GOOD, but why won't they just cut him if all else fails? Try and get a late pick for him or something. If he gets waived either someone takes him (hopefully) or he still eats up cap space. I didn't see anything saying they won't go that route if he doesn't get moved. Detroit # 1 Fan 2,204 Report post Posted October 7, 2014 If Holland can get Kindl out, and XO in for Thursday all is good. Let us hope. Kids are the way back to the top.

frankgrimes 1,836 Report post Posted October 7, 2014 If there aren't any trades why not just waive him and make room for XO that way ?
nyqvististhefuture 1,002 Report post Posted October 7, 2014 Does anybody know of a team who might want to unload someone making around 1.5 ?? If there is I can see us trading kindl for someone like that and sending them down

T.Low 1,011 Report post Posted October 7, 2014 If I'm Illitch, I'm trading him for a bag of pizza dough, 1/2 dozen decks of cards, 1 case of parking ticket rolls, and some stage lighting. Bring on XO!
Jersey Wing 1,521 Report post Posted October 7, 2014 I will be sad to see Kindl dropped just like that for XO after all he's done for the Red WIngs. Said no one ever. 1 Wings_Dynasty reacted to this

Jedi 1,865 Report post Posted October 7, 2014 Probably looking for a draft pick for Kindl. Since the trade would be to free a roster spot for XO, no sense in trying to bring another roster player back. 1 haroldsnepsts reacted to this

PavelValerievichDatsyuk 1,935 Report post Posted October 7, 2014 Trying to think of who might be interested. No one's trying to get to the cap floor...but it would be a team that wouldn't have to worry about cap space and doesn't have a lot spent on their Defence. Jets? Coyotes? Sabres? ogreslayer 1,069 Report post Posted October 7, 2014 If it happens, it will probably be for a 7th round pick & the Wings will have to eat half his salary to move him.
