PredsFanTheBayouState 263 Report post Posted February 16, 2012 You have to earn them. i would love for preds to have 12 stanley cups, nashville can't earn stanley cups, like the red wings can,the wings are a powerhouse team and have been in the leauge longer than the predators
kylee 727 Report post Posted February 16, 2012 its just really awkward wording...but man is that funny.
wolverine1817 55 Report post Posted February 16, 2012 I was gonna make fun of them, more specifically that they thought that they'd ever be the #1 hockey venue, but since it's a mission statement it actually makes sense.
VM1138 1,921 Report post Posted February 17, 2012 So we let this one slide for Nashville. But nothing can ever explain that giant sign depicting a pig-nosed Toews with the Cup.
chrisdetroit 189 Report post Posted February 17, 2012 The World would be a much better place if we could just get rid of all Mission Statements. There is too much of this doublespeak... 1 VM1138 reacted to this
Hockeytown0001 7,652 Report post Posted February 17, 2012 In all fairness most ppl don't remember Carolina winning the cup either I lol'd.
Kira 451 Report post Posted February 17, 2012 Damn, I haven't had surgery yet, so I can't blame this on post-surgery drug withdrawal from the meds...but am I seeing things, or have I been living in an alternate universe???
2probert4 8 Report post Posted February 17, 2012 Yes, it is... Though technically theirs is "One Goal" and not "OneGoal". They were throwing catfish on the ice, which of course is a ripoff of our tradition with the Octopus ! 2 sleepwalker reacted to this
2probert4 8 Report post Posted February 17, 2012 The story behind those 'Stanley Cup champion Nashville Predators hockey team' signs inside arena http://sports.yahoo....-163018620.html Actually, it's a mission statement. One fans weren't really supposed to see. Actually, the statement about the arena has been going on for about 6 months... So no Mission Statement with that. They really believe they are a Cup Caliber Team... Without sounding like a hater, if they DO NOT resign Weber, you will have people dumping what season tickets they do sell left and right. This offseason for them is the most important in their history. 2 HadThomasVokounOnFortSt and sleepwalker reacted to this
Electrophile 3,554 Report post Posted February 17, 2012 Who cares? They can call themselves whatever they like, it doesn't bother me any. 1 Frozen-Man reacted to this
Gizmo 21 Report post Posted February 17, 2012 "Mission statements" aren't normally written in the present tense... That's more like a "mission accomplished statement". 2 sleepwalker reacted to this
Nightfall 871 Report post Posted February 17, 2012 (edited) An interesting story, but I think I would have put "Mission Statement" or "Goals" as a header above the sign. Edited February 17, 2012 by Nightfall
wingslogo19 281 Report post Posted February 17, 2012 You have to earn them. I think they need to fire who ever wrote that slogan for the Preds
Red Wings Addict 787 Report post Posted February 17, 2012 I think they need to fire who ever wrote that slogan for the Preds What if the end up winning the cup? I mean, it's what we all said about the Toews billboard.
Drake_Marcus 890 Report post Posted February 17, 2012 I think it's adorable. Like when kids get a novelty Time magazine cover for their dad with "World's Greatest Dad" on the bottom. 3 sleepwalker and 55fan reacted to this
