I haven't thought about it. My contract just ended, and if I have a good offer [from Avangard] I will certainly consider it. Maybe some other teams will make me offers. As for the NHL, we'll see. I think that if I want to play in the NHL, I will come and I will be able to play in the NHL. I am not saying I will play on the first line, but I will be able to play." do you think its a possibility? and which team do you think he would best suite? i would love for him to be back

Guest blueadams Report post Posted May 16, 2011 http://eye-on-hockey.blogs.cbssports.com/mcc/blogs/entry/27694626/29230384 Jagr earlier this week : do you think its a possibility? and which team do you think he would best suite? i would love for him to be back i'd love to have him, if we could squeeze him into a one-year contract. he's looked great against solid nhl-level competition in the world championships. and i think that he'd look great next to pav or hank as well. YzerPucks19 4 Report post Posted May 17, 2011 Funny thing is he could still reach 40 goals on a line with Dats or Zettie.
AlexCa 8 Report post Posted May 28, 2011 Probably too expensive. If not, I bet Jagr would want to play for Wings; I would love to see that, may be he could teach Fransen how to be a consistent goal scorer.. But is it even theoretically possible, or it will be another Nabokov-type story?

He needs a bit more time to finish the job so NHL is better option from this perspective because NHL camp starts in mid-september, KHL in late july. He's offered $3.5M/season (tax free) from Petersburg and Omsk. They also say that NHL teams are willing to offer him around $2.5M/season. He says if it's NHL he won't think too much about money. They talk about Montreal as the biggest candidate then Detroit, NY Rangers and Pittsburgh. Edited June 10, 2011 by CrabCZ

Never_Retire_Steve 35 Report post Posted June 16, 2011 Wow, so apparently Jagr would like to play here.... The key question is whether or not Holland wants the same thing?
amato 3,210 Report post Posted June 16, 2011 if the price is right we'll probably sign him if he really thinks he can come and compete/help out. the wings like to make the most of older players.. 1 Reds4Life reacted to this
