Reds4Life 51 Report post Posted May 9, 2010 (edited) I hope they win it all (would be much better than Chicago or s***sburgh win). Edited May 9, 2010 by Reds4Life 2 miller76 and atodaso reacted to this
xtrememachine1 795 Report post Posted May 9, 2010 I'd like to see Todd Mclellan win it. Though the thought of Hossa finally beating Pittsburgh in the Finals has a certain appeal to it. 3 miller76, Williams29fan and Tristanium reacted to this
SDavis35 140 Report post Posted May 9, 2010 Road to the cup goes through Hockeytown. I know we just lost to 'em and there were moments of hatred, but as far as the remaining teams go it would be nice to see the Sharks win it. A good way to break the choking rep they've earned. 2 SiLkK19 and miller76 reacted to this
Nightfall 871 Report post Posted May 9, 2010 Well, as a hockey fan, I am going to root for a team to win the Cup that hasn't won it in a while. That means anyone but Pittsburgh at this stage. Yes, I will even root for the sharks and the hawks.
YzermanLives 3 Report post Posted May 9, 2010 They look determined .. But the reputation for choking is still intact until they make the finals 1 stevieisthebest reacted to this
RedWings 79 Report post Posted May 9, 2010 Thornton is scoring playoffs goals. This is a different shark team. I'd like them to sweep the Pens in the finals. 1 miller76 reacted to this

w00p33 2 Report post Posted May 9, 2010 Two things. First, I was hoping for an Original 6 CF and SCF. There's no O-6 WCF now but still hope for a SCF matchup. So by default I have to hope for the Hawks in the West. Which leads to... Road to the cup goes through Hockeytown. Second, absolutely true. I like the team that kicks Detroit to win because I always feel that the team that beats us has to win the next round, or the wrong team won. Since '02 that has been the case so SJ has to win but that would kill the O-6 matchup, so I am conflicted. Point is I have a reason to back either team but no reason to like 'couver. In the east, given my O-6 bias, Go Bruins and Go Habs! I hope they win it. Just so we can tell how we lost to the best. Exactly to my point of wanting the team that beats the Wings to win at least one more round. 1 miller76 reacted to this

Travis 576 Report post Posted May 9, 2010 I'm pulling for the 'Hawks, but regardless - I think the Sharks will have their toughest test with Chicago. They are embarassing Vancouver at this point.
T-Ruff 47 Report post Posted May 9, 2010 I hate the Canucks, dislike the Hawks, and got nothing against the Sharks, they're my team in the West now. A San Jose Pittsburgh final would be great because San Jose would destroy them. As someone above mentioned it would be cool to see Hossa beat the Pens too, but I can't cheer for a team with Kane over the Sharks, as much as I like Hossa. These things said I would prefer the Pens lose asap. 1 miller76 reacted to this
CrimsonFlame 424 Report post Posted May 9, 2010 Sharks won't win because unless the Ref's hand them 3 games again. 3 titanium2, 8 Legged RedWing and SiLkK19 reacted to this
RockyMountainWingGal 108 Report post Posted May 9, 2010 I hope the Sharks pull it off. They deserve it this year. Agreed. Their fans have been through a lot. McLellan is a good coach and wouldn't mind seeing Bab's mentee do well. The only player that bugs me a little on their team is Thornton - but he is actually playing better this year and contributing. Sharks-Hawks will be a good matchup but I think SJ has the edge in goal and coaching. The West needs to crush the Pens - still hoping Habs do it but they have such a pansy path to the SCF it's ridiculous.
Heroes of Hockeytown 694 Report post Posted May 9, 2010 San Jose have drafted well (Pavelski, Clowe) made good trades (Thornton) and savvy free agent signings (Boyle) and pretty much built their team from the ground up. They've strived for success for many seasons, like the Wings, but obviously haven't attained it like Detroit has, but they didn't just fall assbackwards into riches via the draft like Chicago or Pittsburgh. So, in that way, I'd prefer for them to win it over anyone else at this stage. I wouldn't mind Boston or Montreal either but it seems unlikely either can beat the Pens. GMRwings1983 8,802 Report post Posted May 9, 2010 It'll be Pens and Hawks in the Finals, despite what we may want. Good luck picking a team to cheer for in that sad affair.
Buppy 1,720 Report post Posted May 9, 2010 My daughter's fiance is from San Jose, so I'll be 'rooting' for them. At least in a 'sort-of-care-a-little-but-whatever' way. Really the only team I don't want to win is the Pens. Not because I hate them, just because they already won one so I want to see someone new.
sixer 37 Report post Posted May 9, 2010 Sharks will definitely be winning it all, no one in their path now. Definitely better then the Hawks and East won't be winning it this year, even the best team the Pens won't be able to handle the Sharks or Hawks. I'm routing for the Sharks, if the Nucks lose. Otherwise go Nucks!
Seraph 240 Report post Posted May 9, 2010 I am actually going to root for the Sharks, which I rarely do for a team that's beaten us. I kind of want to keep playing monkey in the middle with the cup and Hossa. We all hate Pittsburgh, so basically any team that opposes those two teams. Drake_Marcus 890 Report post Posted May 9, 2010 I hope San Jose wins the Cup this year. I'd rather lose to the eventual winners than go out to someone who can't get it done. There's less shame in losing to the champs... 3 miller76, Bradster1984 and Grypho reacted to this
miller76 463 Report post Posted May 9, 2010 Sorry but I'm cheering for the Hawks. Not to personally slam you here. But to cheer for a team that is a true division rival of the Wings, their cocky little s.o.b.'s on their first line, their fans that chant Detroit sucks when were not even playing them, is just blasphemy! I could and would never cheer for the Hawks. I hope Eddie O chokes on the bull s*** he spews out of his mouth every broadcast! 2 SiLkK19 and Grypho reacted to this

Jericho613 74 Report post Posted May 9, 2010 I'm gonna root for the Sharks, I respect them, I don't blame them for a tough series i blame bad officiating, they deserve to move on, they were one of the best teams in the regular season.
