what is horse s*** is that Russia has to play Canada in quater finals... that is just rediculous... If Russia wants gold, they would have likely still had to go through Canada anyway, but still kind of crappy after winning your group you have to go play Canada???

How would you have done the seeding yourself then? Should we just look at what teams are best on paper and make sure they can meet in the finals regardless of results in the group matches?

no not at all, who would have though that Canada would seed 6th? I mean its stupid that Russia as a winner of their group has to play Canada...

Canada choked that is, but Russia has to deal with them now as well, which is obviously not their fault... it is what it is... Like I said I would be very happy with a Russia vs. United States final... Canada choking would be a glorious outcome:)

Okay, I didn't watch the game, so I'm curious...how did Luongo look? Giving up two goals to Germany on 23 shots doesn't sound like a stunning performance, but like I said, I didn't watch the game.

Does anybody know if Jagr is playing tonight for the Czechs, starting watching their game against Latvia in the second period and i haven't seen him out there at all. If the Latvians had any finish they would be tied right now, their goalie is quite fun to watch as well. If I was his coach I would tie him to the net.

Just a little side note for all the Canadian haters out there, I understand why you hate this team. It's very hard for me to cheer for Pronger, Crybaby, Getzlaf and Perry. However the Canadians proved in 2002 that playing crappy in the preliminary round doesn't neccessarily mean disaster.
