I never called off work (probably because I've never had a job during the season) but I've DEFINITELY skipped classes/parties/weddings/dinners for hockey games. Sometimes you just need some hockey. Wine is a bit different than ice cream, but I am enjoying consuming some Chianti red wine right now, absolutely tastes good.
