Jiri Hudler.

Actually, Jiri Hudler would probably be okay if he wouldn't be benched in the playoffs.

Our team is DOWNGRADED from last year. We won't get past round 2. We don't have clutch scoring which we could have gotten in Fedorov, and that we've had from players like Fedorov, Lang and Kozlov in the past. Without scoring we will sink. I'm very disappointed. You can hate Lang all you want, but without him our team is downgraded. We've not replaced that very needed aspect of our team.

We need a physical d-man. Brad Stuart is not physical.

Exactly. Stuart is OK, but scoring is what we need. Hopefully Holland has a slow fax or something and Jokinen is on the way, cause offense is our biggest problem.

Yeah, the PP may benefit, but it was supposed to with Raffy and it didn't. All this does is move Sammy closer to the net on the 2nd PP unit instead of eliminate him from it.

huting your feeling? OK Elmer Fudd. No, "a lot of people" don't "crush it up and snort it." Some do, usually those who are broke (maybe this is why you think the majority of aderall is taken nasally, you are from Watertucky) and can't afford real blow may snort it. However the majority of people snort coke if they want to snort something, not their medicine. Now run a long to your tire swing, and do whatever it is you do for fun.

Take it to PMs.

So wuts every1s thought...can we still compete?!

I say yes 100%...sure we only got stuart...but as they just said now on The Score...Detroit doesnt need 2 make many moves, they said we were on pace for 60 wins until this recent slump n injuries, and it solidifies our defence, and as they said, every team that wins a cup faces adversity at some point, and they believe this will make us better come playoff time these injuries and the aquisition! GO WINGS GO BABY!

Yeah, like I was saying earlier, all those who thought Stuart was going to come here and lay on the bone crushing hits...youre sorely mistaken.

Im not gonna bash the move, because I think Stuart is the type of guy that could fit into Detroit system, but still...this team is the softest contender out there..

Stop crying, would you want something like cross again. We have a good team. Last time I checked we were winging the west. and thats even with all of out D out.

There are quite a few Wings fans here that thought we were king s*** and could beat any team in the league when we were kicking everyone's butt. Well, as soon as the boys get healthy we'll still be that team in your eyes so no deadline deals today probably shouldn't bother you folks at all.

For those of us who've felt we aren't big enough or tough enough, looking at the names that traded hands, there wasn't a whole lot that would've made us happy. Or made me, personally happy. Although I could've stomached Lapointe. But maybe DMac will take care of that so. Either way, we knew Kenny wasn't going to mortgage the farm and that no Wade Belak's were going to join this lineup so we're relegated to feeling like we always feel, that the Wings aren't big enough or tough enough so we're keeping our fingers crossed.

Then we have those folks who've been clamboring for more secondary scoring. For you folks, I feel bad for ya. You got a legit gripe that isn't nearly as impossible to fill as those of us wanting to get bigger and tougher. Prospal might've been an option here. That's a bummer for you folks and I totally understand your frustration today.

For those of you who are just giving Holland the business because he didn't pick up this guy or that. Holy crap do you people need help. I don't even know where to start. It's like you have this belief that no GM can negotiate a deal with another one until approaching the Wings first to see if we want said player and will pay less for him than the next GM. Give me a break.

From where i'm sitting, we're about where we were last year. If the injury bug passes and everyone gets back and DMac hits the lineup. Then i'll take my chances. Last year's squad wasn't big or tough enough for me but they nearly did it. Maybe they can this year to. My fingers are definitely crossed.

Anybody who is upset about Hossa. Holy crap did the Pens give up a lot. Esposito and a 1st? That's the benefit of drafting high and having Sid, Malkin, Fleury, Whitney and Staal I suppose.

I like this team. I'm still pretty sure we aren't big enough to compete with Anaheim but you never know. That's why we play the damned games anyway.

GO WINGS!

PS: If Ken Holland isn't the best GM in all of professional sports. He deserves top 10-15 recognition. He's elite.

I posted this prior to Stuart. If we got Stuart i'm feeling much, much better already. Whew.
