Agreed. Sure, the officiating of late hasn't helped our cause, but the bottom line is this: We're playing s***ty hockey.

We finally address the toughness issue only to see half the roster snap in the wind. Life is cruel.

He said on that radio show that he plans on playing the way he's always played, so the desire's there. Whether he'll be physically able to do so is another story. Here's to hoping.

Very pleased with this move. It's been a long time since I've said this, but: Good job, Kenny. Now let's just hope Bert's healthy enough to play his kind of game.

I reckon he has no interest in landing Guerin at this point. And probably for good reason--I imagine the asking price is still ridiculous. This could just be a tactic in the eleventh hour, but it's just as likely that it isn't. He did say, after all, that he's perfectly willing to go into the postseason without any major additions. I'm hoping it has something to do with Bert, but...oh well, we'll see.

Can Holland be traded?

Blake would be an excellent pickup, provided we don't overpay. He wouldn't go a long way in making us a nastier team to play against, but he gives his all every single night (something that can't be said of more than a few players on this team) and knows how to put the puck in the net. Granted, he's certainly not the only piece we need. I hope Holland isn't thinking this is "The Deal."
