This game is our best case scenario... competitive losses keep the players hungry and improve the lotto odds. I'd like the rest of our games to go just this way.

What would an equivalent trade package from the Wings have been for Kakko? The cost seems very reasonable and the reward could be great. I think Yzerman is Uber conservative... and it's hurting us.

Kyle Conner is a UFA after next season... Winnipeg is doing well but it's also a cold s***hole.

Most of this is accurate... the problem... where/how do we get the players we need? In one case I think we have a player we need bit he needs a reset. Rasmussen needs a coach to get in his ear to make him play his size. Meek Lalonde isn't that guy. Until Rasmussen plays with an edge hits everyone chips in offensively he's a wasted talent. Joe V should be trade bait.

I can see him finishing the year... but I think his replacement is already being sourced. My guess, he's not renewed and his replacement is known almost right away.

That's interesting... it's a move that won't salvage this season but might prevent players from regressing or stunting the growth of young guys. Also we need a coach to tell Rasmussen to play like a man or sit in the press box.
