Earning 1 pt last night was key and so will be every game leading up to the March 8th trade deadline...Capt Obvious statement here - any extended run of poor play, or losses might see Yzerman repeat last season where he becomes a seller...I sure as hell hope that doesn't happen - wanna see 'April In The D' becoming a thing again.

While I do agree that Larkin is a legit 1C (just as Tavares is seen as a 1C), but Dats was clearly on a different level and was capable of elevating his linemates play - same was said about Yzerman and Fedorov...Larkin is good, but not that good.

Too bad Chiarot won't be in the lineup.

The Sens seem to be a team that has a good roster, young studs, but poor results and front office upheaval...Detroit is the team of misfit toys and rejects that's bonding and finding ways to win.

If it works - it works...There are some nights I wonder how this team pulled off a win, but a sloppy win is still a win in my book. Haven't been looking forward to Red Wing games like I have this season in a long time...Feels good man.

Not that I'm complaining, nor am I concerned considering how well the Red Wings are currently playing, but does anyone else find it interesting how this team has been assembled over the past few years? A handful of draft picks are on the current roster with most being UFAs, or trades...I wonder how much longer this will continue considering if we have anything of value outside of Edvinsson, Kasper, Danielson, or Cossa?

Indeed...Chances are he stepped on some toes over the years (I think it was on Reddit where I had read a comment from a former coworker of his - Al is/was a heavy drinker with an attitude)...This was a convenient way of getting rid of him.

My coworkers' former coworker was allowed to retire...Al's case was 50 some years of service 'down the drain'...

Reminds me of a conversation I had a few months back with a coworker...Apparently at his previous place of work (another hospital) he had an older coworker with prostate woes - sudden urge to piss and such...Not once, but on on 2 separate occasions while in a PT's room he had to use the PT's bathroom to avoid peeing himself...Was talked to by mgt about the 1st incident...After the 2nd he was given early retirement and avoided disciplinary action, or termination...At least his boss was decent/understanding.

From my understanding and the pics I had seen of the area/s he pee'd - it was outta plain sight and only seen by a fellow maintenance employee. I work in healthcare so I see all kinds of unusual $hit...Seems like they wanted him gone - if I had a grudge against him then maybe I'd say sumthin to the 'boss', but otherwise I'd keep it to myself, or have a private chat with him.

Chances are he ruffled some feathers over the years and they wanted him gone...Pissing where he shouldn't have gave the boss' a prime opportunity to kick him to the curb. There's that loyalty for ya!

Just gotta move on from this game...Got Philly in a few nights.

What I find amusing is how he was a short drive west on I-94...What did our scouts at the time didn't see in Hughes, but apparently saw in Zadina ? Things wouldn't have been at all bad had Holland skipped Hughes and picked Bouchard...But it's all water under the bridge. What I find more concerning is what the future holds for prospects named Cossa and Kasper...

He's certainly the teams MVP thus far this season.
