The 3-on-3 OT last night in Tampa got me thinking about who we would/should put in our OT lineup. I came up with this... Current Roster w/injuries Goose-Zetterberg Tatar-Richards Larkin-Abby? Kronwall Green Smith I'd be kind of worried about having Smith out there on the third pairing but he has the speed to push the pace. Larkin and Abby are both good defenders so they can help cover up some of his mistakes. Healthy Roster Zetterberg-Pasha Larkin-Tatar Franzen-Goose Kronwall Green Dekeyser There are so many different combinations we could use. I would love to get Pulks out there with his shot but he worries me on the defensive end. If Jurco can have a resurgence under Blashill he would be a good option out there as well. If Jensen had made the team I would've put him out there in a heartbeat.

Gonna be at the game tonight!!! Got seats behind the wings goal. This will be my first time seeing Mrazek and Jurco in person. I'm hoping Mrazek puts on a show tonight and bounces back from a couple lackluster games.

I think when Abby comes back we role with... Goose-Z-Abby Tats-D-Helm Weiss-Sheahan-Franzen Miller-Glenny-Jurco You just can't break up pasha's line right now. They are the definition of "on fire." Jurco have that 4th line some really offensive upside. Let Abby pull the piano for Z and maybe he'll break out of his funk.

I would still like to upgrade the D if we want to make a run. I wonder if Tatar + Kindl could get us Ryan Ellis. Right handed shot, fast skater. Could pair really nice on the 2nd line with Smitty or Dekeyser. Pulks has been tearing it up down in GR. He would probably be a slight downgrade on Tatar, but we could really boost our D. And THAT SHOT. Imagine D in a few years of Smitty, Ellis and Jensen. All great, fast skaters. Would pair really well with the speed we have on the team and in the system.

Has Sheahan ever played wing? I think I would go with something like this and ease Weiss back into the top 6. Zetterberg-Datsyuk-Abdelkader Nyquist-Sheahan-Franzen Tatar-Weiss-Jurco Miller-Helm-Glendening With the way Pulkkinnen has been playing down in GR I would like to call him up and go with this... Zetterberg-Datsyuk-Nyquist Tatar-Sheahan-Franzen Pulks-Weiss-Jurco Abby-Helm-Glendening That could give us three legit scoring lines and a boost on the PP.

Holy freakin slapper by Pulks. Kid has an amazing shot. Mantha looked decent. Is gonna have to get used to playing with the new guys. Mrazek had some amazing saves in OT as well.

I doubt Pulkkinen is ready for 2nd line minutes but I really wish we could place him on a line with Abby and Datsyuk to play that Alfie role. Once Franzen is back I'd like to see Goose-Z-Franzen Pulks-Datsyuk-Abby Tatar-Sheahan-Jurco Miller-Helm-Glendening #1PP Z-Pav-Franzen Kronwall-Smith #2PP Goose-Sheahan-Tatar Dekeyser-Pulks If those lines can't score idk what we're doing wrong.

If we can't start scoring soon we'll need to call up Pulks. He can definitely help on the PP, way more so than Nesty.

Does anyone know who has the locker next to Z? Considering Z probably has a good 4 years left in him I'm saying out next C will be chosen for the 2019-2020 season. C: Nyquist A: Dekeyser A: Abby Nyquist to me is so much like Z in the way he talks and plays the game. Z always looks like a proud dad when Nyquist scores. I feel like he is really being groomed to take over that spot. I don't think Nastasiuk will get an A that early in his pro career. Figuring he spends two years in GR or so. Same for Larkin. He won't spend much if any time in GR, but I don't see him getting an A as soon as he joins the team. If Abby is still around I could see him getting an A. He has improved, always stays out of trouble and like Dekeyser is a Michigan product. That last spot is wide open to me though. Could be anyone from Mantha to Smith to Abby to Glendening.

What the lines look like now will be different than what the end the season with, imo. I think we'll be hungry for goals and one of Pulks/Mantha will be called up. For now I wanna see something like this.. Goose-Z-Franzen Tats-Pasha-Abby Jurco-Weiss-Sheahan Miller-Helm-Glenny Kronner-Dekeyser Smith-Big E Quincey-Ouellet We know that first line is golden. Putting Tats on a line with Datsyuk should force him to not try to do everything himself. I think Abby has deserved come more top 6 minutes with the way he has played thus far. Good ol' piano puller. Third line intrigues me. I want to see Sheahan on the wing just to see what would happen. He has a good shot. He doesn't get to use it enough though because Tatar hogs the damn puck. Put Weiss in there to see if he can spark the kids or the kids spark him. Fourth line is lock down. We might get 15 goals out of that line all season but I'm okay with that.

Called the 4-3 OT win... just saying. Another good game from Smith and Dekeyser. Gotta get Kindl off this club.
