NHL Trivia: Team Leaders in Goals, Assists, Wins, PIMS
Bring Back The Bruise Bros replied to GMRwings1983's topic in General
I would've never guessed the Capitals' leader in assists. I thought it might have been Adam Oates. I had some issues with goaltenders. I missed Byrzgalov for the Coyotes. I missed Jacques Plante for Montreal, which I couldn't believe. -

Nearly perfect. I'm a little embarrassed to admit that I missed Shane Churla for Dallas. I guessed Basil McRae. He was the only one that I missed in the PIM department, though. -

98/120. A few names that I would've never guessed. Love these quizzes. -

Callahan and Nestrasil re-signed

I want Callahan up in Detroit this year. He's coming off a solid year. Time for him to get his fair shot. -
Hockey News: Detroit has the easiest schedule

This. Teams are so unpredictable that this claim about the "easiest schedule" is worthless. -

I see what you're saying, but I'd rather they just do away with the shootouts. -

Every single one of those is idiotic and unnecessary. I can definitely see myself not bothering with hockey anymore within the next 5-10 years. -

This is one of the most idiotic contracts Ken has ever given. A ridiculous signing bonus, a ridiculous "performance bonus" and a NTC for an undesirable, beaten up Dan Cleary? This guy is gonna score 6 points next season and make $2.5 million. -

Just re-sign Alfredsson now and call it an off-season. Zetterberg-Datsyuk-Alfredsson Franzen-Weiss-Nyquist Abdelkader-Helm-Tatar Cleary-Andersson-Miller Glendening Jurco gets buried in GR. Yuck. -

Doesn't sound like it is a two-way deal. Another counterproductive signing by an ineffective and hilariously incompetent GM. Steve Downie scored 24 points in 62 games last year and got a one-year, $1million deal. Cleary scored 8 points in 52 games and just got a one-year contract worth up to $2.5 million. Let that sink in. -
NHL Trivia: Players locked out in both 1994 and 2004
Bring Back The Bruise Bros posted a topic in General
I got 54/137. Definitely the hardest one so far. Some names on there that would've taken me forever to guess. Try it out http://m.sporcle.com/games/kmad/nhl-locked-out-twice -
Yeah, I'm pretty sure less than 10 players have accumulated 3,000 penalty minutes.Well, they didn't call him Charlie for nothing :-P I'm looking forward to Chris Neil continuing to climb up the all-time penalty minute leader list. Over 2,200 PIM and counting.

Agreed on all fronts. When he first broke into the league with Phoenix, I thought Dan Carcillo had serious potential to hit 2,000 penalty minutes in his career. He was still a wrecking ball in Philadelphia, but began to pick his spots a lot. He only fought like 5 times last year.

Anton Volchenkov to Nashville on a one-year deal. Preds will be an interesting team to watch next season. -
A lot of the tough guys from the 90's didn't hit 2,000. Tony Twist, Peter Worrell, Paul Laus, Sandy McCarthy, etc are examples. Who will be the next to reach 2,000 penalty minutes?
-
I got 32/55. I didn't think Pat Verbeek was that high on the list. Totally forgot Kelly Chase, Al Secord, Mike Foligno, and Ronnie Stern. It would've taken me a long time to think of Phil Russell and Steve Smith. Also, I thought for sure that Ian Laperriere had 2,000 penalty minutes. Fun quiz, even though I didn't do as well as I wanted.

Adam McQuaid shoots right, can put up some points here and there, and is solid defensively. Screw Petty.
