I think I'm leaning towards 97 only. You guys are right, considering how rare these Nikes are getting, it wouldn't make any sense to not make it as authentic and correct as possible.

Vladdy is engraved on the cup for 1998 isn't he? He was technically a part of the team even though he didn't play at all. That's making me lean towards 98 and Believe. Does anyone know if the red jersey Vladdy wore during the 98 cup celebration had the Believe patch? Every pic I've seen shows him from the wrong side.

Yea, I feel like the most logical choices would be the 97 Cup patch only or the Believe patch only, but I feel like I'd kinda like a cup patch and the believe patch, but I just don't know which one... Decisions, decisions...

I was wondering if any of you can help me regarding the Nike jerseys the Wings wore in 97 and 98 (there may have been more years, not positive though). Does anyone know how they are size-wise in comparison to a CCM or Reebok? I've found a 48 that I'd love to buy if it'll fit me, but I've never tried a Nike one on, so I have no idea if it will. Thanks!

You were watchin it too? Yea, I decided I couldn't hesitate as authentic Nikes (especially ones done exactly as I'd like) don't go up for sale very often. Got it for $200, down from the $225 the seller originally wanted too! Gonna send it to SportsK for the 97 Cup Patch when I get it!

Just bought it! I'll take pics when it arrives! It's a 1997 Nike Authentic home white Vladdy jersey! I can add it to my Franzen home red RBK and Yzerman 1992 75th anni jerseys!

I just picked up a 1992 75th anniversary Yzerman jersey on Amazon. It's quite correct aside for the captain's C, but 99% of people who see it will never know. Amazon and ebay are your best bets I'd say.

I go all out with the beard and I'll allow myself to trim the upper cheek area and the neckline at the end of each series, but the bulk of the beard doesn't get touched.

So I have this new plan that every $5000 I save, I allow myself to buy something fun, so for $10K, I decided a new Wings jersey was in order. I chose the NHL 75th anniversary vintage jersey from 1992 with Stevie on it! The jersey is just awesome! Fits perfectly, all names/numbers/logos/etc. are sewn on, and all-in-all, I'm very pleased with it. I just hope, that living in Los Angeles, I have a game to wear it too sometime this spring!

Yea, I'd bet 90% of people who consider themselves big Wings fans wouldn't even notice. Definitely doesn't bother me. I'm thinking of getting the 2008 Cup Patch sewn onto my Franzen home red RBK jersey. Thoughts?

Yea, I'm not too worried about it. Exactly as you said, I bought it to wear it, and I'll wear the hell out of the thing, so it doesn't really bother me too badly.

Per my calculations, we need 3 more points for 98 total to ensure we make the playoffs. Should Calgary win out (and assuming Nsh, LA, and CO make it) they'd have 97 with 44 wins. If we had 97 points as well, we'd have fewer wins, so we need 98 points to make the playoffs.

With Homer returning from injury on Sunday, who will be the unlucky Wing that loses a job and gets put on waivers? I've gotta think it'll be May. Eaves has been fantastic on the PK, Miller has been reasonably good all around and Abby's already gone back down to GR already, so I feel like May will have to be the odd man out.
