Ontario Wingsfan 0 Report post Posted April 18, 2008 (edited) Bob McKenzie was just talking on TSN about Babcocks name being mentioned as the next possible coach for Ottawa and said that according to his sources, the Wings & Babs have already agreed on a new long term deal. He said that regardless of what happens this year (early exit or not) that Babcock will be around and basically said that they (the rest of the media) can stop right now with the Babcock to Ottawa talk. Take it for what it's worth. Edited April 18, 2008 by Ontario Wingsfan
Reds4Life 51 Report post Posted April 19, 2008 Good news. Babcock is good coach. He asks a lot from his players, but fortunately, we don't have any prima donna

RedLightGoesOn 81 Report post Posted April 24, 2008 Babcock is a great coach.... our losees so far can't be solely his fault. He is smart, classy, and is good at his job. He knows this team, knows how to win, and I like the fact that he will stay with us for some more time, definetly the right man to take us past the post-Bowman era. shoe 165 Report post Posted April 27, 2008 Babcock did a radio Interview Between the 1st and second round here in Toronto on the Bill Waters show, they asked him about jobs opening up this summer. He quickly said NO staying in Detroit he likes it there he works well with Holland Yzerman and Nill, he loves how his top 3 come to work ready and dont need to be "coached." He said why try something new when what you have works right now.
